50 years of Spider-Man

On Aug. 10, 1962, Marvel Comics superhero Spider-Man made his debut in issue 15 of "Amazing Fantasy" (cover price: 12 cents).
This image, provided by Heritage Auctions, shows original cover art for âThe Amazing Spider-Manâ No. 328 by artist Todd McFarlane. The cover has sold for a record $657,250 at auction, just one among several pieces from the 1990s that went for hundreds of thousands of dollars.
